About the role

Why this role exists
We teach people how to adopt a low-insulin lifestyle through our products and our coaching app, Feel Great Coach. Inside the app, customers are supported by an independent Unicity Distributor who has walked the path themselves.
We want a layer of company content that sits one step above distributor content: scientifically accurate, professionally produced, and simple enough that distributors can take it and make it even more accessible for their own audiences. This content will power our global social media and live inside the coaching app.
We are hiring the person who owns the scientific integrity and clarity of that content — someone who can explain GLP-1, insulin, fasting, and our own study results correctly, in plain language, without ever making us look uninformed or crossing a compliance line.
Who we're looking for
You have real scientific training and you love turning it into content normal people actually understand. You are not a researcher who writes dry summaries, and you are not a content creator who guesses at the science — you are the rare person who does both well.
You believe insulin dysregulation is a central driver of metabolic disease and that a lower-carbohydrate approach helps most people. You hold that view because the evidence supports it, not as dogma — you can represent the strength and the limits of the data honestly, and you don't overstate a study to win a point.
What you'll create
Weekly Q&A content. Answer real customer questions about products, protocol design, and troubleshooting — e.g. "I'm not losing weight on the standard protocol, what should I adjust?" Turn recurring questions into reusable, accurate answers.
Study snapshots. Short, lay-friendly explainers of our own studies and relevant published research — what was tested, what it found, and what it does and does not mean for the customer.
Short science explanations. Standalone pieces on core concepts: "What is GLP-1 and why it matters," "Should I be tracking calories?" and similar — the mental models customers need to run their own program.
Short-form video. Scripts (and, where useful, on-camera delivery) derived from the above or made fresh: how to take the product, new recipes, and ways to modify the protocol.
Distributor-ready source material. Everything you make should be something a distributor can pick up and simplify further for a broad audience.
Core responsibilities you own
Scientific accuracy. Nothing we publish misrepresents a study, a mechanism, or a result. You are the backstop.
Compliance discipline. Metabolic and weight content for a supplement brand carries real FTC/FDA exposure. You keep our content clear of disease claims and unqualified weight-loss or cure claims, and you flag anything that needs a qualifier, a citation, or legal review. (You don't need to be a regulatory lawyer, but you must know where the lines are and respect them.)
Translation. Turning dense science into content a motivated non-expert can act on — without dumbing it down into something false.
Must-haves
A graduate degree (MS or PhD) in nutrition, human physiology, biochemistry, exercise science, or a closely related field — OR you are a Registered Dietitian or licensed clinician with genuine metabolic-health depth. (PhD is a plus, not required.)
A portfolio of content you've made for non-expert audiences — writing, video, social, or a mix. We want to see that you can be both correct and clear.
Fluency with the metabolic-health literature: insulin, glucose regulation, fasting, GLP-1, and weight regulation.
Genuine alignment with a low-insulin / lower-carbohydrate view of metabolic health, held evidence-first rather than as ideology.
Comfortable being on camera when the content calls for it.
Strong pluses
Current or past experience coaching real clients on nutrition, fasting, or weight — so you understand the user's context and the problems they actually hit. (We'll also pair you with our distributors for this; it's a plus, not a gate.)
Existing audience or credibility in the metabolic-health / low-carb space.
Video production skills (scripting, filming, light editing).
Experience with health-content compliance for a regulated product.
What alignment does and doesn't mean
We lean clearly toward the insulin/low-carb model. We are not looking for someone who parrots the most extreme version of it. If a customer's data suggests the standard protocol isn't working, we want honest, mechanism-based troubleshooting — not slogans. Intellectual honesty about what the evidence supports is a feature, not a risk.
Engagement & how we'll work
Freelance/contract to start, on a retainer with an agreed set of deliverables per week or month (exact cadence set together).
Remote, async-friendly, with a regular working session to pull questions from the coaching app and the field.
We expect this to grow if it works — this is a way to start, not a ceiling.
To apply
Send: (1) your CV or a short bio with your credential
(2) a portfolio or 2–3 samples of science content you made for a general audience
(3) a short answer to: "A customer six weeks into the protocol has stopped losing weight. Give us the 3–4 things you'd have them check or adjust, and the reasoning behind each." If you have on-camera samples, include one.
Work arrangement
