Skills and Competencies
Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, consulting, or related fields
Experience in governance, strategy, business management, or risk-related functions
Familiarity with credit markets, rating agencies, and APAC financial markets is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and coordinate across teams and functions
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and AI tools
Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Responsibilities
This VP – Regional Governance, Strategy & Business Management role supports regional governance, risk and resilience, and strategy & business management across APAC. The individual will split responsibilities across (i) governance, risk, and control oversight and (ii) strategic initiatives and business management. The role partners closely with regional leadership and control functions, and supports execution of regional strategy, affiliate management, and key projects to strengthen Moody’s Ratings’ business position, risk oversight, and operational resilience.
Regional Governance (50%):
Support the APAC Regional Head and country managers in ensuring effective governance, risk oversight, and operational resilience across APAC operations
Coordinate governance forums, including agenda setting, materials preparation, and tracking of actions
Review materials for local subsidiary board and committee reporting, including key risks and issues, and ensure remediation actions are appropriately tracked, addressed, and closed
Support regulatory engagement and governance and resilience related projects across APAC jurisdictions
Partner with Compliance to develop and refresh preparedness plans for internal and external inspections, and align with Internal Audit on audit plans and priorities
Strategy & Business Management (50%):
Develop and support the implementation of regional strategy across APAC markets
Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and key market trends
Support affiliate management and coordination across domestic affiliates
Provide support and oversight for a range of strategic and ad-hoc APAC and global projects, such as APAC strategy presentations and senior management onsite engagements
Identify and implement AI‑driven solutions to enhance efficiency within Regional Management

The Regional Management team drives strategic alignment, governance excellence, and business resilience across Moody's Ratings in APAC. We support regional strategy execution, governance and regulatory engagement, and affiliate oversight to strengthen business performance and operational effectiveness.
