Role Description The Design Engineer will work on-site in Thane in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of mechanical and electrical components, assemblies, and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine product concepts and specifications. The role involves reviewing designs for manufacturability, safety, and compliance with relevant standards, as well as supporting prototyping, testing, and design revisions based on feedback. The Design Engineer will document design decisions, maintain organized project files, and communicate clearly with supervisors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The position requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to project timelines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a workshop and office setting.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills focused on practical, manufacturable solutions.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering knowledge, including fundamentals of materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for 2D drafting and 3D modeling using industry-standard software.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering understanding for integrating electrical components and ensuring safe, reliable designs.
Relevant engineering degree or diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) and prior experience in design or project execution is beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to interpret technical drawings and specifications are beneficial.
Effective communication skills, ability to work on-site in Thane within a team-based environment, and commitment to safety and quality are beneficial.
