SENIOR ENGINEER – OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities services team. The SE – O&M will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations and maintenance of our facilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of building systems and equipment. You will also be involved in planning and implementing facility improvement projects, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
· Lead and motivate a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support;
· Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency;
· Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet department objectives;
· Collaborate with all stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures;
· Monitor and evaluate the performance of department activities, making recommendations for improvements as necessary;
· Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for functional operations;
· Monitor and analyse market trends and competitors, making recommendations for improvement and innovation;
· Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure seamless delivery of services;
· Ensure the efficient allocation of resources and effective cost management;
· Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery;
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards;
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners;
· Conduct regular inspections of various systems, equipment, and facilities to identify and rectify any malfunctions or issues;
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations;
· Troubleshoot and repair Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) systems including PHE and HVAC;
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and work orders ensuring compliance with regulatory standards;
· Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance in compliance with regulatory standards;
· Perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) systems including PHE and HVAC;
· Manage and prioritize work orders, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner;
· Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repair and maintenance work;
· Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex issues and identify innovative solutions;
· In addition to the above-mentioned duties and job functions, all other assignments given time to time by the management.
Requirements
· Diploma/ Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering;
· Proven experience of at least 10 years in similar role;
· In-depth knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) systems including PHE and HVAC;
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
· Excellent organizational and time management abilities;
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the facilities services industry.
