Data Management Specialist

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about data to join us in Bangalore as a part of our ComLIMS Program.
The ComLIMS Program (Communication and Laboratory Information Management System) consists of two internally developed web applications and a range of additional services (reporting services, data services, Business Intelligence services) which allow our internal customers, the Eurofins laboratories worldwide, to sell their services offered to Eurofins customers. The ComLIMS Program is at the heart of Eurofins' strategy of cross-selling and competence centres. Components of the Program and its data are used by most Eurofins applications, which makes the ComLIMS Program an essential part of ensuring efficient end-to-end sales, production processes and much more.
As a Data Management Specialist, your role will be to manage the catalogue of around 90 requests and maintain high quality data within our ComLIMS Program.
Responsibilities:
Request Review & Processing
Review and validate requests received through internal portal (SharePoint) for completeness, correctness, and compliance with data governance policies or procedures.
Follow strict company guidelines and procedures for various customer requests (access management, data management, service requests...) for the review, approval and execution of such requests
Execute correct and valid requests for data creation, updates and extractions.
Ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with Eurofins SOPs and global data governance guidelines.
2.Data Quality & Documentation
Maintain accurate documentation of executed requests and actions taken.
Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Perform data clean-ups to ensure good quality data within the program.
Flag discrepancies, inaccurate inputs, or unusual patterns for review.
Contribute to process documents, request forms and SOPs to drive operational efficiency.
3.Customer Support & Communication
Support users needing assistance with data-related requests.
Provide guidance on data processes, request submission best practices, and common troubleshooting steps.
Communicate clearly with requestors to seek clarification, provide updates, or resolve issues.
Ensure timely resolution of requests within defined SLAs.
4.Support Editorial committee of internal newsletter
Help in proofreading, layout creation and publishing daily internal newsletter.
Manage subscription for internal newsletter.
5.Collaboration
Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Functional Analysts and IT teams to achieve programme goals.
Identify opportunities to streamline request processing and reduce manual effort.
Participate in team meetings, feedback loops, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor OR Master Degree in Science or similar.
Fluent English communication skills – both written and oral.
Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
Ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.
Attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.
Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of Excel is a must.
Knowledge of SQL and WordPress is an advantage.
Laboratory experience is a plus.
