Role Description The Automation Engineer will work in a full-time remote capacity, designing, implementing, and optimizing automation systems and solutions for a variety of projects and clients. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, configuring and programming automation and control systems, and integrating robotics and process control technologies to improve efficiency and reliability. The role involves performing diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical and automation equipment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, and ensuring systems comply with safety, quality, and security standards. The Automation Engineer will document configurations and procedures, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing within the engineering community at Zynvex Solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing system faults and resolving hardware and software issues in automation environments.
Candidates should possess process control expertise, including experience with control loops, PLCs, SCADA or DCS systems, and optimization of industrial processes.
Candidates should possess electrical engineering skills, including understanding of electrical schematics, wiring practices, safety standards, and industrial power systems.
Candidates should possess automation skills, including design, configuration, programming, and integration of automated systems for manufacturing or industrial applications.
Candidates should possess robotics skills, including working with robotic controllers, sensors, actuators, and integration of robots into automated workflows.
Relevant qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Beneficial skills include familiarity with industrial communication protocols, scripting or programming languages, version control tools, and cybersecurity best practices for OT/IT systems.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate effectively with global teams, document technical work clearly, and manage multiple projects and priorities.
