Role Description The Project Engineer at JSPL Angul will manage and support engineering projects from planning through execution and commissioning. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Angul, with primary on-site responsibilities and some flexibility for work from home. Day-to-day tasks include developing project plans and schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, monitoring progress against milestones, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and budget requirements. The Project Engineer will prepare technical documentation, review designs, support electrical engineering activities, and resolve site-level technical issues. The role also involves stakeholder communication, risk identification, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project delivery.
Qualifications
Project Management and Project Planning skills to structure, coordinate, and deliver projects effectively.
Project Engineering expertise, including experience with execution, commissioning, and technical problem-solving.
Electrical Engineering knowledge relevant to industrial or plant environments, including basic design and system understanding.
Strong Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders and to prepare clear reports and presentations.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are an advantage.
Experience in heavy industry, steel, power, or similar large-scale projects, with familiarity in safety and compliance standards.
Ability to work in a hybrid setup, manage multiple priorities, and use project management and engineering software tools efficiently.
