Dispute Resolution Paralegal - Property Litigation

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Paralegal to join our Dispute Resolution Team.
The successful candidate will work closely with and support senior fee earners on a varied and challenging caseload of property litigation matters as well as general civil litigation matters. Our property matters may include residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes, possession proceedings, service charge disputes, leasehold disputes, boundary and neighbour disputes, nuisance claims, co-ownership disputes, building and construction-related disputes and professional negligence claims arising from property matters.
Our civil litigation caseload encompasses a broad range of disputes, including contested probate matters, contract disputes, data protection claims, claims arising from the breakdown of personal or business relationships, debt recovery and other money claims, professional negligence claims against solicitors and other professionals or organisations, and negligence and nuisance matters.
The Paralegal will assist with both litigated and non-litigated matters and will be expected to manage their workload effectively while meeting individual fee and time-recording targets.
Requirements
At least six months' previous paralegal experience, ideally within a property litigation or civil litigation team, dealing with both contentious and pre-action matters
A good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and an understanding of the litigation process are essential
Previous experience of property disputes and civil litigation would be advantageous
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Be able to prioritise competing demands, work effectively as part of a busy team and remain organised when working under pressure
Enthusiastic, commercially aware and keen to develop their knowledge of property litigation
Confident dealing with clients, opponents, counsel, experts and colleagues across the firm
