Cloud Engineer

Role Description The Cloud Engineer at Sicredi Planalto RS/MG will design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support core banking and financial services systems. This part-time remote role involves configuring and monitoring cloud environments, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability and security of services. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with development and operations teams to automate deployments, manage infrastructure as code, and troubleshoot issues across environments. Responsibilities include managing integrations with databases and existing systems, contributing to architecture decisions, documenting configurations, and supporting incident resolution and root cause analysis. The role also includes continuous improvement of cloud practices, cost optimization, and adherence to compliance and security standards.
Qualifications
Strong experience in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, including designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure cloud environments.
Proficiency with Linux administration and Databases, including performance tuning, monitoring, and backup/recovery procedures.
Skills in Software Development for automation and infrastructure-as-code, using scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and configuration management tools is beneficial.
Understanding of security best practices, networking concepts, and compliance requirements in financial or regulated environments is a plus.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively in a part-time role, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
Professional certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are a strong advantage.
