Role Description The Fabrication Production Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune District. The role involves overseeing fabrication processes for specialized bridge construction equipment, ensuring that production activities meet design specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Daily responsibilities include coordinating production planning, monitoring workflow on the shop floor, resolving technical issues in collaboration with design and engineering teams, and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency. The engineer will also support quality control activities, maintain documentation and production reports, and communicate with internal stakeholders to align fabrication schedules with project requirements. Occasional interaction with suppliers and adherence to safety regulations and company procedures are expected.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Production Engineering, with hands-on experience in fabrication or mechanical manufacturing environments.
Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret technical drawings, troubleshoot production issues, and support process optimization.
Experience in Production Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of fabrication activities.
Knowledge of Quality Control practices, standards, and inspection methods relevant to steel fabrication and heavy equipment.
Clear and effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and preparing technical reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Familiarity with CAD drawings, manufacturing documentation, and basic project management tools.
Understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices in fabrication workshops.
Experience in bridge construction equipment, heavy structures, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Pune District and adapt to a dynamic, project-driven environment.
