Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Erection Engineer based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The Erection Engineer will oversee and execute erection and assembly activities for bridge construction equipment such as formtravellers, launching girders, and scaffolding systems at project sites. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, planning erection sequences, coordinating with project managers and site teams, and ensuring safe, accurate installation of equipment. The role involves monitoring erection progress, troubleshooting technical issues, conducting inspections, and supporting commissioning and handover to clients. The Erection Engineer will also be expected to adhere to safety standards, maintain documentation, and collaborate with global engineering teams and clients.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of civil/structural or mechanical engineering principles related to bridge construction and erection of heavy equipment.
Experience with site supervision, erection planning, and installation of specialized construction equipment or similar heavy structures.
Ability to read and work with technical drawings, erection manuals, and engineering documentation.
Understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and safe work practices for on-site construction activities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical and operational issues on site.
Willingness to work on construction sites, travel to project locations when required, and adapt to varying site conditions.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience in bridge construction, erection engineering, or heavy equipment installation is an advantage.
Familiarity with basic project management practices, progress reporting, and documentation is beneficial.
