Role Description The Relationship Manager – Sales will manage and grow a portfolio of clients by promoting SMC’s financial products and services and delivering consistent relationship-oriented support. This full-time, on-site role based in Connaught Place involves identifying prospective clients, conducting meetings, and explaining suitable investment and financial solutions aligned with client needs and risk profiles. The role includes regular follow-ups, responding to client queries, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. The Relationship Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as research, operations, and product specialists to execute transactions, resolve issues, and support clients across brokerage, wealth management, and other offerings. Daily responsibilities also include tracking market developments, preparing basic reports on client activity, and meeting assigned sales and revenue targets while adhering to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong client relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust, understand client needs, and maintain long-term engagement.
Sales and business development capabilities, with experience in meeting targets, negotiating, and closing deals in financial products or services.
Solid understanding of capital markets, investment products, and basic financial planning concepts; prior exposure to brokerage or wealth management is an advantage.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial solutions clearly and professionally to diverse client segments.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret market information, identify opportunities, and address client issues promptly.
Proficiency in using CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other standard business applications for reporting and client tracking.
Ability to work on-site in Connaught Place, manage time efficiently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant certifications (e.g., NISM) are beneficial.
Prior experience in financial services, banking, or securities markets in a client-facing sales role is preferred but not mandatory.
