We are seeking an experienced IT professional with a strong background in project management to lead new application development and follow-up support within our Corporate IT team.
The role combines project management responsibilities, with a strong focus on coordinating internal teams and supporting the development of key projects and transition to an in-house support model, while ensuring alignment with SGS’s technical and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate internal team (and/or support contractors) to ensure delivery of new IT projects, in alignment with Stakeholder requirements.
Manage internal team to guarantee high-quality application delivery, support and adherence to corporate standards.
Manage budgets & timeline, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive user adoption across the organization at product delivery.
Proactively identify project risks and issues, developing mitigation plans and escalations where necessary.
Support the transition of development and support activities from contractors / vendors to internal teams.
Contribute to the long-term stability, performance, and scalability of the applications under your responsibility.
Monitor, report and address key KPIs related to application support and development.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Understanding of project management methodologies: Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
Solid knowledge of project management & service delivery
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements and design through deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams, including Engineering, QA, Architecture, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application Support.
Ability to engage with engineering teams, manage technical dependencies, and translate risks into business impact.
Nice to Have
Experience in implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) environment, especially Field Services.
Previous hands-on experience in software engineering, application development, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical field.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.
PMP (Project Management professional) certification.
Technical background in application development and/or infrastructure.
Experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps
