Role-
The BIM MEP Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing, coordinating, reviewing, and managing electrical BIM models for building services projects. The role involves creating accurate 3D electrical models, coordinating MEP services, preparing BIM deliverables, identifying clashes, and supporting project execution from design through construction and handover.
Responsibilities-
Develop and maintain Electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP.
Prepare detailed 3D models for:Lighting and small power
Cable trays
Electrical conduits
LV/ELV systems
DBs and electrical panels
Busducts
Transformers and generators
Earthing and lightning protection
Other electrical services as required.
Create and update models based on design drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
Prepare electrical layouts, sections, elevations, schedules, and BIM documentation.
Create and modify Revit families for electrical equipment and components when required.
Extract quantities, schedules, and model-based information from Revit.
Support preparation of shop drawings and coordinated construction drawings.
Review models and drawings for design consistency, constructability, and coordination issues.
Required Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/ in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Relevant experience in MEP BIM / Electrical BIM for building construction projects.
Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP.
Good knowledge of Navisworks Manage and BIM coordination.
Understanding of electrical building services and MEP coordination.
