Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Navi Mumbai. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with payroll calculations and expense tracking. The role also involves supporting monthly and annual financial closing, preparing basic financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams, provide financial data for management decisions, and help improve accounting processes and controls.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including journal entry posting, general ledger management, and reconciliation of accounts.
Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow summaries.
Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Tally, ERP systems, and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation and compliance, including GST, TDS, and local statutory requirements.
Candidates should possess attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple financial records.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA Inter, CMA, or similar) are an advantage.
Prior experience in accounting or finance, preferably in FMCG, consumer goods, or a growing startup environment, is beneficial.
