Key Responsibilities
Support logistics activities throughout the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase.
Develop logistics strategies, transportation concepts, and budgetary cost estimates.
Prepare logistics content for proposals, tenders, and RFQ responses.
Develop preliminary transportation plans for heavy haul, breakbulk, containerized, rail, ocean, and multimodal shipments.
Obtain and evaluate budgetary pricing from carriers, freight forwarders, ports, terminals, warehouses, and specialty providers.
Conduct transportation feasibility and route assessments.
Identify logistics risks, permitting requirements, infrastructure limitations, and schedule impacts.
Review packing lists, shipping drawings, equipment dimensions, and shipment specifications.
Support evaluation of Incoterms, delivery strategies, customs, and international shipping requirements.
Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Sales, Tendering, Project Management, and Logistics teams.
Maintain logistics pricing databases, estimating tools, templates, and bid checklists.
Support smooth transition of logistics plans and assumptions from proposal development to project execution.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, supply chain, or project logistics.
Experience with transportation planning, freight estimating, or proposal development.
Understanding of domestic and international transportation modes and logistics operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
Capital equipment, energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Heavy haul, oversized cargo, breakbulk, rail, ocean freight, or project logistics.
Incoterms, import/export documentation, customs processes, and international shipping.
Reviewing engineering drawings, packing lists, and shipment specifications.
Logistics cost estimating and commercial proposal development
