We’re looking for an experienced Protection & Control / Power Systems Engineer to join GE Vernova
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver complex Protection & Control solutions for generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial systems.
Support microgrid solutions, including power-flow optimization and dispatch algorithms.
Perform engineering studies including:
Short-circuit and load-flow analysis
Ground-grid design
Lightning protection
Insulation coordination
Arc-flash studies
Protective-device coordination
Create relay setting files, including protection/control elements, logic, and communications settings for GE and third-party relays.
Test Protection & Control solutions in-house and at customer sites.
Model and conduct power-system simulations using RTDS or equivalent.
Develop FAT plans and provide testing support for customer witnessing.
Plan and support SAT activities, field testing, and commissioning.
Contribute to software tools that automate engineering processes.
Participate in technical discussions with project managers and customers.
🎯 Ideal Background
We’re seeking professionals with strong experience in Protection & Control Engineering, power systems, substation automation, relay settings, testing, commissioning, and power-system studies.
Experience with GE or third-party protective relays, RTDS, microgrids, and utility/industrial power systems is highly valuable.
