Interior Designer

About the Role
BuildMyInfra is looking for an experienced Interior Designer with strong expertise in civil and interior drawings to support the design and execution of commercial, retail, warehouse, office, and turnkey infrastructure projects.
The candidate will be responsible for preparing and coordinating detailed drawings, developing interior layouts, coordinating with project and site teams, and ensuring that designs are practical, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed interior and civil drawings for commercial, retail, warehouse, office, and fit-out projects.
Develop floor plans, furniture layouts, partition layouts, reflected ceiling plans, flooring layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
Prepare and modify civil drawings including layouts, partitions, flooring, masonry, ceiling, finishing, and other architectural/civil details.
Translate design concepts and project requirements into accurate technical drawings.
Coordinate drawings with MEP, HVAC, electrical, fire, ELV, and structural requirements.
Review drawings for dimensions, levels, clearances, coordination, and constructability.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Civil Engineers, MEP teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants.
Prepare drawings required for site execution, approvals, and project coordination.
Conduct site visits and take measurements wherever required.
Incorporate site measurements, design changes, and client requirements into drawings.
Prepare BOQ/quantity-related information and assist the project team with material and specification requirements.
Review shop drawings and contractor submissions for alignment with approved designs.
Resolve drawing-related queries from site teams and provide necessary design clarifications.
Maintain proper drawing revisions, documentation, and project records.
Ensure drawings are issued within project timelines and as per required standards.
Support multiple projects and coordinate design deliverables according to project priorities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
5–10 years of relevant experience in interior design, civil drawings, and technical drafting.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, 3D visualization, or other design software will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of civil construction and interior fit-out drawings.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, structural, and MEP drawings.
Experience in preparing detailed working and execution drawings.
Good knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture layouts, flooring, ceilings, partitions, and other interior works.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Good understanding of site execution and practical constructability.
Ability to manage multiple drawings and project deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in commercial interiors, retail stores, warehouses, corporate offices, industrial projects, or turnkey projects will be preferred.
