Operations Manager (Solar exp - Min 5 yrs exp)

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in the Solar industry to manage end-to-end installation operations, vendor coordination, project execution, and field activities.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in coordinating solar installations, vendors, installation teams, materials, timelines, and customers while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate end-to-end solar installation activities from project allocation to completion.
Coordinate with vendors, installation partners, technicians, and field teams for smooth project execution.
Plan and schedule installation activities based on project requirements and timelines.
Ensure availability and timely movement of solar modules, inverters, structures, cables and other required materials.
Coordinate with vendors for manpower and installation requirements.
Monitor daily installation progress and ensure projects are completed within defined TAT.
Track pending installations, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions.
Coordinate with customers regarding installation schedules and site readiness.
Ensure proper coordination between Sales, Project, Warehouse, Procurement, Vendors and Installation teams.
Monitor vendor performance, quality of work, timelines and adherence to company standards.
Handle installation-related escalations and resolve operational issues promptly.
Conduct regular follow-ups with vendors and field teams to ensure smooth execution.
Maintain proper MIS and reports related to installation status, vendor performance, pending projects and completion.
Ensure installation work is carried out as per required quality and safety standards.
Identify operational gaps and implement processes to improve installation efficiency and reduce delays.
Support management with regular updates on project execution and operational performance.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations/project execution, preferably in the solar/renewable energy industry.
Strong experience in solar installation coordination.
Experience in vendor management and coordination.
Good understanding of rooftop solar installation processes.
Experience managing installation teams and field technicians.
Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
Good problem-solving and escalation-handling ability.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Good knowledge of MS Excel/MIS and operational reporting.
Willingness to travel to project/site locations whenever required.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with experience in Solar EPC, rooftop solar, solar installation companies, or renewable energy operations will be preferred.
