IT Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
Understand and analyse business requirements, processes, and client needs.
Conduct discussions with clients and stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
Translate business requirements into clear and actionable requirements for technical teams.
Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
Work closely with developers, QA teams, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Create and maintain Jira/Agile backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirement documentation.
Analyse business and application data using SQL queries to support requirement validation and business analysis.
Write basic to intermediate SQL queries using SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, aggregate functions, and subqueries.
Perform data validation and reconciliation between application screens, reports, and database records.
Identify data inconsistencies, missing records, duplicate data, and data-quality issues.
Work with technical teams to understand database structures, tables, relationships, and data flows relevant to the business requirements.
Support data migration and data validation activities where required.
Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and potential process improvements.
Support QA teams in understanding requirements and validating developed features.
Participate in UAT, defect discussions, issue tracking, and resolution coordination.
Prepare project status updates and communicate project progress, requirements, and open issues to stakeholders.
Ensure requirements are properly documented, tracked, and aligned with client expectations.
Required Skills
1+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / IT Business Analyst.
Strong understanding of SDLC and software development processes.
Experience in Requirement Gathering, Analysis, Documentation, and Validation.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience preparing BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, and Acceptance Criteria.
Hands-on experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
Good working knowledge of SQL.
Preferred Candidate (as per Client requirement)
Candidates who have graduated from IITs/IIMs
North Indian candidates only, as per client requirement.
Strong proficiency in Hindi and English is required.
Candidates should be comfortable communicating with North Indian clients/stakeholders.
