*About the Studio*
Atelier Astil is a luxury architecture and interior design practice working across large-scale residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, with a portfolio spanning India and the Middle East. Our work is grounded in contextual modernism and a belief that luxury is not about excess, it is about intention.
*About the Role*
We are looking for an architect who thinks in systems. This is not a project delivery role. The mandate is to study how the studio currently works, define how it should work, and build the internal infrastructure that makes quality repeatable across every project and every team member.
The consultant will design and standardize our internal processes, documentation, and data systems, and will lay the groundwork for AI-assisted workflows as the studio scales.
*Key Responsibilities*
Systems and Standardization
· Map existing studio workflows across design, documentation, procurement, and project management, and identify gaps, duplication, and points of failure
· Build and codify internal standards for drawing sets, layer conventions, title blocks, naming protocols, and issue registers
· Develop stage-wise process frameworks covering concept through handover, with defined deliverables, responsibilities, and sign-off points
· Create reusable templates for briefs, consultant scopes, transmittals, meeting records, and site instructions
Data and Excel Systems :
· Build detailed, formula-driven trackers for project progress, drawing registers, material schedules, and BOQ formats
· Design dashboards that give leadership a live view of project status, resourcing, and deliverable timelines
· Structure data so that it stays consistent across projects and is clean enough to be automated later
Research :
· Conduct benchmarking studies on studio practices, delivery models, and documentation standards
· Research materials, systems, and specifications to build internal knowledge libraries
· Translate research into usable formats: checklists, standards documents, and decision matrices
AI Integration
· Identify workflows where AI tools can reduce manual effort without compromising design quality or client confidentiality
· Pilot and evaluate tools, then write clear internal protocols for their use, including data handling boundaries
· Train the team on adopted tools and document the workflows
*Who We Are Looking For*
· *Engagement Terms* B.Arch or M.Arch, with 4 to 8 years of professional experience in architecture or interior design
· Demonstrated experience building systems, standards, or documentation frameworks, not only executing projects
· Advanced Excel capability including complex formulas, data validation, conditional logic, and dashboard construction
· Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and standard documentation practice
· Clear, structured writing. This role produces documents that others must follow
· Genuine curiosity about AI tools and their practical application in design practice
· Ability to work independently, ask the right questions, and drive a mandate without daily supervision
Terms of Engagement
· Consulting engagement, initial term of [6] six months with scope defined against agreed deliverables
· Hybrid, with regular presence at the studio in Ulsoor, Bangalore
· Reports directly to the Principal Architect
· Professional fee commensurate with experience, structured against milestones
