Software Quality Engineer Senior

Work together with the software development team to enhance and improve the software applications through robust automated testing;
Create test cases and automated test suites (from requirements, user stories, previously identified issues or bugs) using Playwright to identify software problems;
Design, implement, and maintain automated end-to-end (E2E) and integration tests using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript;
Analyze and document bugs and errors found during automated and exploratory tests;
Report the test results, test coverage, and automation execution status to the software development team;
Analyze and test the software security and performance;
Provide tests and methods to ensure high data quality and system reliability;
Perform manual and automatic testing: Integration, Regression, Black-box, Customer Acceptance, User Interface, Security (with primary focus on automation with Playwright);
Argue with the development team against the requirements if something still requires development rework or affects application testability;
Performs routine inspections and quality tests (automated CI/CD runs and exploratory testing);
Report a bug by creating a ticket in Jira within a default template (e.g. steps to reproduce the bug, environment (test, train, and production), logs, expected result, actual result, and rate reproduction).
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in test automation using Playwright;
Strong programming and scripting skills in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+, async/await, modern testing patterns);
Good understanding of REST-API functionality, implementation, and adaptability, including API testing with Playwright;
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases;
Previous experience with API testing tools (Postman, Playwright API testing, etc.);
Previous experience with automated test web-frameworks, with deep expertise in Playwright (exposure to Cypress, Selenium, JMeter, or others is an asset);
Previous experience with debugging tools (Playwright Trace Viewer/Inspector, Chrome/FF Dev Tools, Jest, Mocha);
Experience or good familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Great to have:
Previous experience with IT application versioning (Git);
Any testing certification (e.g. ISEB/ISTQB Qualified (Foundation level upwards));
Previous experience in Atlassian Toolchain (e.g. Jira, Confluence);
Previous experience with agile development process, including understanding the main concepts of Scrum and Kanban frameworks;
Previous experience with AI agents or AI-assisted development/testing tools.
