About the Role
The role focuses on advanced mechanical design for heavy industrial equipment, providing technical leadership within the engineering organization and supporting continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining complex 3D models, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials for heavy industrial equipment.
Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and production teams to resolve design and fabrication challenges.
Leading product improvement initiatives, cost reduction efforts, engineering change management, and customer-specific modifications.
Supporting CAD system administration, Autodesk Vault management, engineering standards, and workflow optimization.
Training and mentoring designers and engineering personnel while serving as a subject matter expert for design and manufacturing best practices.
Providing hands-on support to manufacturing operations, including welding, machining, fabrication, assembly, and field service activities.
Qualifications
10+ years of CAD and design experience in OEM industrial equipment
Required Skills
Mechanical design for heavy equipment and industrial manufacturing.
Autodesk Inventor expertise.
Vault administration.
Fabrication design.
Production support.
Development of production-ready drawings, large assemblies, hydraulic systems, and welded steel structures.
