POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong AWS and Databricks expertise to design, build, and configure enterprise-grade infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational controls.
This role focuses on enabling and configuring the platform's operational capabilities—including monitoring, alerting, and logging—to ensure reliability, scalability, and seamless deployment across cloud environments. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in AWS platform engineering, hands-on experience with the Databricks "Ops" platform, and exceptional consulting skills to work proactively and independently in a dynamic, high-visibility environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
DATABRICKS & PLATFORM ENGINEERING
- Leverage strong Databricks expertise to configure and optimize the platform environment.
- Ramp up quickly on the Databricks "Ops" platform to support workspace administration and integration.
- Architect and maintain robust AWS platform engineering solutions to support business requirements.
DEVOPS & AUTOMATION
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation workflows.
- Establish modern DevOps practices to streamline platform delivery and infrastructure management.
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT & CONFIGURATION
- Configure enterprise-level monitoring, alerting, and logging mechanisms for cloud and data platforms.
- Ensure platform observability and operational readiness (Note: this role focuses on configuring and setting up the ops infrastructure rather than performing day-to-day operations work).
CONSULTING & STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION
- Act as a self-starter who drives initiatives independently without needing step-by-step direction.
- Maintain frequent, clear, and accurate communication with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proactively identify platform gaps, recommend solutions, and optimize operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong expertise in Databricks and ability to ramp up quickly on the Databricks "Ops" platform.
- Strong overall DevOps expertise, including modern CI/CD pipelines and practices.
- Strong AWS platform engineering skills.
- Strong overall knowledge of operations management (e.g., monitoring, alerting, logging configuration).
- Strong consulting skills, including being a proactive self-starter, working autonomously, and communicating frequently and accurately.
- English Proficiency: B2 or above is required.
