Role Description
Atrey & Associates is looking for a creative, detail-oriented and technically capable Junior Architect to join our team in Delhi.
The Junior Architect will work closely with senior architects and designers across different stages of architectural and interior projects, including concept development, space planning, façade design, 3D modelling, visualization, working drawings, presentations and project coordination.
The ideal candidate should have a strong design sensibility along with the technical ability to translate concepts into well-developed drawings and realistic visualizations. The role requires someone who is comfortable working on both architecture and interiors and is interested in understanding a project from initial design development through detailing and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing architectural, interior and façade design concepts.
Prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections and detailed working drawings.
Develop accurate 3D models for architectural and interior projects.
Produce high-quality photorealistic renders and architectural visualizations.
Create walkthroughs, animations and camera sequences for project presentations.
Assist with space planning, furniture layouts, ceiling layouts, flooring layouts and interior detailing.
Develop material palettes, mood boards, furniture selections and design presentations.
Work on façade development, material combinations and architectural detailing.
Translate design concepts and sketches into technically resolved drawings and models.
Incorporate design revisions accurately across drawings, 3D models and presentations.
Coordinate with senior architects, consultants, vendors and site teams.
Assist in reviewing site requirements and resolving design-related issues during execution.
Maintain consistency between architectural drawings, interior drawings, 3D models and final design intent.
Architectural & Design Skills
Strong understanding of architectural design principles and space planning.
Good understanding of interior design, furniture planning and spatial composition.
Knowledge of architectural and interior materials, finishes and detailing.
Understanding of FF&E selection and its integration within interior projects.
Ability to read, understand and develop architectural and construction drawings.
Good understanding of proportions, scale, lighting, materials and colour combinations.
Strong visual sense and ability to create well-composed architectural presentations.
Interest in façade design, contemporary architecture and interior detailing.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to refine designs through multiple iterations.
Interest in luxury, sustainable and context-responsive architecture.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is creative, curious and willing to learn while taking ownership of assigned work. The candidate should be comfortable receiving design feedback, developing multiple design options and refining concepts based on project requirements.
The role requires good communication and coordination skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and a professional approach while working with architects, consultants, vendors and site teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Architecture or a related design discipline.
Fresh graduates and junior architects with a strong portfolio are encouraged to apply.
Previous internship or professional experience in an architecture/interior design studio will be an advantage.
A portfolio demonstrating architectural design, interior projects, technical drawings, 3D modelling and visualization is preferred.
