Role Description This full-time, on-site role for a CMM Operator is based in Gurugram. The CMM Operator is responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and verify the dimensional accuracy of components and assemblies. Daily tasks include setting up parts and fixtures, loading inspection programs, performing measurements, and comparing results against drawings and specifications. The role involves documenting inspection reports, identifying non-conformances, and coordinating with quality and production teams to resolve issues. The CMM Operator also supports calibration activities, maintains equipment in good working condition, and follows safety and quality standards on the shop floor.
Qualifications
Ability to operate CMM equipment and related inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges) and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
Experience in dimensional inspection, quality control processes, and documentation of measurement reports in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Basic knowledge of CMM programming or use of standard CMM software; familiarity with CAD models and technical specifications is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to identify and escalate measurement or quality deviations promptly.
Capability to work on-site in a production setting, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and follow safety and quality guidelines consistently.
Relevant technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanical/production engineering or a related field; prior experience as a CMM Operator or Quality Inspector is preferred.
