Enterprise Sales for Canada - Merchant Services - Executive Director

As Executive Director, Enterprise Sales for Canada within Merchant Services, you will lead a team responsible for driving accelerated growth across the largest Merchant Services portfolio in Canada. You will define and execute the Enterprise Sales strategy, partner closely with GCB, CB, Merchant Services Relationship Management, and external referring partner organizations, and drive demand generation through disciplined sales execution, cross-functional collaboration, and strong client engagement.
Job Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Team Leadership
• You will lead Business Development professionals to establish end-to-end sales and prospect account planning strategies for new business sales.
• You will define and drive the overall Enterprise Sales strategy for Canada, identifying and executing new revenue generation opportunities.
• You will lead, motivate, coach, and develop a geographically diverse sales team with urgency, accountability, and commitment to exceptional service.
Partnerships & Revenue Growth
• You will collaborate across GCB, CB, Merchant Services Relationship Management, and third-party referral partners to maximize lead flows and deliver Merchant Services opportunities.
• You will engage as an active member of the Canadian Sales leadership team, working across Partnerships, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Product Development, Compliance, Risk, Strategy, and Finance.
• You will apply a consultative selling approach as a player-coach, cultivating references and developing appropriate product solution recommendations.
Client Voice, Controls & Performance
• You will act as the Voice of the Client for Merchant Services, using product knowledge and client needs to influence the product and customer delivery roadmap and end-to-end experience.
• You will maintain a strong controls sales environment, including pipeline management, performance management, pricing, financial management, applicable procedures, and audit events.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Merchant Services business model, products, and services.
• Strong executive presence and experience speaking in public forums.
• Proven success leading and directly managing a geographically diverse sales team.
• High level of success in cross-selling products, meeting or exceeding product penetration goals, and maintaining excellent client relationships.
• Proven progressive leadership, management, execution, coaching, and influencing skills, particularly at C-Level, with experience building X-LOB partnerships to achieve firmwide objectives.
• Proven experience using data and information to drive business results, compelling recommendations, and effective decision-making.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and work in-office 5 days per week, excluding business travel.
