Factory Production Manager

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager / Production to lead and manage factory operations at Kolkata's manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in production and factory management, along with hands-on knowledge of fabrication, stainless-steel manufacturing, production systems, structures and manpower management.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth factory operations, achieving production targets, managing manpower and maintaining quality, efficiency and productivity across the manufacturing department.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee day-to-day factory and production operations.
Plan, monitor and control production activities to achieve scheduled targets.
Manage manpower allocation, workforce productivity and shift planning.
Supervise fabrication, assembly and other manufacturing activities.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials and resources.
Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth production flow.
Develop and maintain effective production systems, processes and departmental structures.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Monitor productivity, efficiency, quality and production performance.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality and operational standards.
Manage and coordinate with supervisors, engineers, operators and shop-floor workers.
Maintain discipline and effective communication across the factory workforce.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce operational inefficiencies.
Ensure proper planning and execution of fabrication and manufacturing activities.
Required Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may also be considered based on relevant experience.
Additional technical qualifications in manufacturing/fabrication will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
10–15 years of relevant industry experience.
Strong preference for candidates with experience in:
Fabrication industry
Stainless-steel fabrication
Heavy engineering/manufacturing
Industrial machinery manufacturing
Production and factory operations
Candidates should have prior experience managing production teams and factory manpower.
Compensation
Upto 15 Lacs per annum
