Overview
7AI is hiring a Director of Sales Engineering to lead our east region Sales Engineering function. You'll be the technical backbone of our sales organization in the region - partnering directly with Account Executives to run discovery, deliver technical demonstrations, design proof-of-concept engagements, and translate complex security and AI concepts into clear business value for CISOs and security leaders.
What You'll Do
- Own technical win strategy for East region opportunities, from discovery through proof-of-concept to close
- Design and run POCs/pilots that prove out 7AI's agentic security capabilities in customer environments
- Serve as the technical voice of the customer, feeding field insights back to Product and Engineering
- Recruit, hire, and develop a team of Sales Engineers as the East region scales
- Build repeatable technical sales methodology, demo environments, and POC frameworks for the region
- Represent 7AI at industry events, customer briefings, and analyst conversations
- Partner closely with Sales leadership on territory strategy and account planning
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years in sales engineering or solutions architecture, with a track record of success in cybersecurity, SOC/SIEM, or security operations technology
- 3+ years of experience leading or building a sales engineering team
- Deep technical fluency in security operations - detection engineering, threat investigation, SOAR/SIEM platforms, or AI/ML-driven security tooling
- Proven ability to sell to and influence CISOs, security architects, and SOC leadership
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment, building process where none exists yet
- Excellent communicator - able to move fluidly between whiteboard technical depth and executive-level business narrative
- Based in or willing to be based in the Eastern time zone, with regular travel across the region
