Application Development Lead (Day Shift / Noon Shift)
Role Summary
The Application Lead is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery and support of business-critical applications while ensuring high standards of quality, scalability, performance, and reliability. This role acts as the primary technical and functional liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams. The incumbent translates business requirements into technical solutions, drives engineering best practices, and ensures alignment with organizational IT standards. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to deliver successful application outcomes. Additionally, the Application Lead mentors team members and fosters continuous improvement across the application landscape.
Essential Duties
Lead the complete application lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and ongoing support.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring effective communication between business and technology teams.
Translate business needs into technical solutions, implementation plans, and development roadmaps.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance through code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
Drive adherence to software engineering standards, Agile practices, security principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 to 3 years in a technical lead or senior engineering role.
Strong hands-on experience with modern technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
Experience with enterprise application development, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
Proven track record of leading technical teams, delivering complex business applications, and partnering with stakeholders to achieve measurable business outcomes.
