Role Description The Business Data Analyst role is a part-time, remote position focused on turning business and operational data into actionable insights for Altourage and its clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data from multiple systems, building reports and dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making across service delivery, cybersecurity operations, and client performance. The analyst will develop and maintain data models, monitor key performance indicators, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve efficiency, client satisfaction, and security posture. This role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders—such as operations, cybersecurity, and account management—to translate business questions into analytical approaches and communicate findings in clear, practical terms. The person in this role is expected to document methodologies, support ad hoc analyses, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Altourage’s data analytics practices.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills and Data Analytics capabilities to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful insights.
Proficiency in Statistics to design analyses, validate results, and support evidence-based recommendations.
Experience with Data Modeling to structure, organize, and maintain data for reporting and analytical use.
Effective Communication skills to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and SQL or other query languages.
Understanding of IT services, cybersecurity, or financial services environments is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
