The Nick Myers Agency in Portage is looking for an Agent to join the team. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, is motivated by goals, and wants to develop a long-term career in insurance and sales.
You don't need years of insurance experience to get started. If you bring strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the motivation to improve, you'll receive hands-on training and coaching to help you build the rest.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
You'll spend your time connecting with prospective and existing customers, learning what matters to them, and helping them find coverage that fits their needs.
You'll also:
- Reach out to prospects through agency leads, referrals, phone calls, email, and other outreach
- Ask questions to understand customers' needs, priorities, and current insurance coverage
- Prepare quotes and explain coverage options in a clear, approachable way
- Recommend Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products
- Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales process
- Build relationships with existing customers and identify additional coverage opportunities
- Work toward individual and agency sales goals
- Keep your pipeline and customer activity organized
- Participate in ongoing sales coaching, product training, and professional development

Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, banking, hospitality, automotive, or another customer-facing role is helpful, but insurance experience is not required.
A Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license is preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed should be willing to complete the required licensing process.
