Job Summary
The Embedded Data Lead (EDL) owns the accuracy of object-level data across all current and future-state template systems by driving data quality, validation rigor, and confidence in data outputs within an assigned value stream. This role partners with Workstream Leads, the Business Readiness Data Lead, and Data Teams to assess data risks, validate data accuracy and completeness, and enable a smooth transition from Viewpoint and legacy systems to SAP.
The Embedded Data Lead engages key stakeholders, leads data validation activities, and helps ensure the data used for decision-making is accurate, complete, and trustworthy. This position will primarily focus on supporting the data needs leading into and during the migration from Viewpoint and legacy systems to SAP. Aid in process changes, system implementations, and transformational projects. EDL will need to have a strong understanding of CRH's landscape, data flows, and organizational structure.
Job Responsibilities
Own the accuracy of data objects across all current and future-state template systems within your workstream
Partner with future waves to support data cleansing and readiness activities
Ensure data is accurate for all templates that the EDL workstream is embedded in.
Lead data validation assessments and readiness activities for assigned workstream.
Enable a smooth transition from legacy systems to SAP by validating data accuracy, completeness, and integrity throughout migration.
Develop and manage data quality remediation plans to address validation gaps, including interdependencies.
Partner with workstream leads to identify data risks, understand data impacts, and develop mitigation plans.
Manage preparation of data stewards, super users, and validation leaders from the data network for the assigned value stream.
Support development and execution of data validation scripts, test plans, and validation network activities.
Collaborate with the Business Readiness Data Lead to ensure validation criteria align with business needs and data standards.
Support data mapping, business transition, and go-live data readiness activities.
Monitor data quality progress and provide recommendations to improve accuracy, completeness, and stakeholder confidence in data.
Manage deadlines and priorities for benchmarking.
Identify, manage, and collaborate on data defect issues within various SIT, Mock, and UAT schedules
Participate in various working sessions and data alignment workshops.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Understanding of CRH landscape, data flows, and org structure.
Strong communication and organization skills.

Strong understanding of data validation methodologies, data quality principles, and best practices.
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, project management, and communication skills.
Experience conducting data validation assessments and data quality readiness evaluations.
Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
Proficiency with data analysis and validation tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, or similar) preferred.
