Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Financials Module Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a strategic Oracle ERP transformation initiative. The consultant will provide deep functional expertise across Oracle Financials modules, partnering with finance, accounting, business, and technology teams to optimize financial processes, support system enhancements, and ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle Financials, a strong understanding of accounting and finance operations, and a proven track record supporting Oracle implementations, upgrades, and enterprise transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the lead functional SME for Oracle Financials modules.
Partner with finance, accounting, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Oracle solutions.
Analyze current-state financial processes and recommend improvements, efficiencies, and automation opportunities.
Support solution design, configuration reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
Lead functional workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
Provide guidance on financial best practices, controls, compliance, and reporting processes.
Develop functional specifications, process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, cutover planning, and go-live support.
Collaborate with technical teams and integration partners to ensure successful solution delivery.
Communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations to project leadership and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of Oracle Financials experience.
Deep expertise in one or more Oracle Financials modules, including:
General Ledger (GL)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Fixed Assets (FA)
Cash Management (CM)
Financial Reporting
Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and/or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
Experience supporting Oracle implementations, upgrades, migrations, or transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial operations, and financial controls.
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle Cloud Financials implementation experience.
Oracle Financials certification(s).
Professional services, consulting, or large enterprise experience.
Experience with end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
Knowledge of SOX controls, audit processes, and financial compliance requirements.
Experience supporting enterprise ERP transformation programs.
Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
