Role Description This part-time remote Junior Developer role at AMEMBA involves supporting the development and maintenance of web-based tools and internal applications. The Junior Developer collaborates with senior developers and project leads to implement features, fix bugs, and perform basic testing to ensure reliability and usability. Daily tasks include writing clean, well-documented code, reviewing requirements, updating existing modules, and assisting with integration of third-party services or APIs. The role also includes participating in virtual meetings, providing status updates, and learning best practices in software development and version control. This position is designed for entry-level talent seeking hands-on experience while contributing to AMEMBA’s digital initiatives.
Qualifications
Foundational programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java) and basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS).
Ability to work with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborate using common development tools and platforms.
Basic knowledge of software development concepts such as debugging, testing, and documentation.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new frameworks and tools.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Organizational and time management skills to handle part-time workload alongside learning and project commitments.
Relevant coursework, personal projects, internships, or open-source contributions demonstrating interest in software development.
