UI Engineer (Contract)
Remote (Open to NY, West Coast, and Pittsburgh, PA)
Rate: $60/hr (NY & West Coast) | $60/hr (Pittsburgh, PA) Rates may vary based on exact location/time zone compatibility.
Experience Level: 6–10+ years (10+ years strongly preferred)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced, senior-level UI Engineer for a dynamic contract engagement. In this role, you will split your time between critical, customer-facing e-commerce applications (powering major high-visibility initiatives like "same-day delivery" and "standard plus shipping") and highly functional internal portals used daily by our Product Managers and supply chain vendors.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned frontend specialist with deep, expert-level expertise in Ember.js who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments and actively leverages modern AI development tools to accelerate delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
6–10+ years of professional frontend/UI engineering experience, with a proven track record as a senior or lead engineer.
Expert-level mastery of Ember.js is non-negotiable, as it comprises the vast majority of the day-to-day architecture.
Solid working knowledge or exposure to Node.js.
Strong conceptual and working understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture to ensure smooth frontend-to-backend integration.
Partner with multiple internal teams to coordinate, implement, and track A/B testing configurations to optimize customer-facing applications.
Hands-on experience embedding AI development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) into your daily coding workflow.
Preferred Qualifications ("Big Plus")
Direct experience setting up and managing experiments via Optimizely.
Prior experience in the E-commerce, Retail, or Supply Chain technology sectors.
