Role Description The Cybersecurity Analyst role at CB Khreschatyk is a part-time, remote position responsible for safeguarding the bank’s information systems and data assets. This role involves monitoring security alerts and logs, identifying potential threats, and escalating incidents in line with established procedures. The analyst will review system configurations, perform vulnerability assessments, and support the implementation of security controls across applications, networks, and information systems. Daily tasks include documenting findings, preparing concise security reports, collaborating with IT and operations teams to remediate risks, and helping maintain compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. The position also requires staying current on emerging cybersecurity threats and recommending improvements to enhance the bank’s security posture.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to analyze risks and design appropriate controls.
Experience with Network Security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network architecture.
Knowledge of Application Security principles, secure coding practices, and common application vulnerabilities.
Understanding of broader cyber threat landscapes and cyber risk management practices within financial services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and regulatory requirements for banking environments.
Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and log analysis is highly beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to document incidents and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (full or associate level) are an advantage.
