Role Description
We are seeking a highly analytical, security-focused, and detail-oriented Senior Cyber Security professional to support and strengthen the organization’s information security framework. The role involves identifying security risks, monitoring threats, implementing protective controls, and supporting the development of secure systems, networks, applications, and business processes.
Key responsibilities include monitoring security events, analyzing potential threats, conducting vulnerability assessments, reviewing security controls, and supporting incident detection, investigation, response, and recovery activities. You will assess security risks, identify weaknesses, recommend mitigation measures, and assist with maintaining effective cybersecurity policies, procedures, and technical controls.
The role also involves supporting security assessments, penetration testing activities, access control reviews, endpoint protection, network security, identity management, and security monitoring solutions. You will collaborate with IT, engineering, compliance, risk, and business teams to ensure security requirements are incorporated into technology and operational processes.
You will maintain accurate security documentation, prepare reports and risk assessments, track remediation activities, and support security audits and compliance requirements. The position also requires monitoring emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and security technologies to help improve the organization’s overall security posture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, security architecture, threat management, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
Knowledge of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, endpoint security, identity and access management, and encryption.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or related frameworks.
Strong knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, and security analysis.
Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or other security tools is an advantage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to assess security risks and communicate technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in security-related tools, operating systems, networks, and cloud environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to information security and data protection.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or OSCP are an advantage.
