Concrete SME - Superintendent

Why this role exists
We are building capability in formwork on all concrete - not general civil.
We are looking for someone who understands how concrete structures are built, not just how they are scheduled.
**Travel will be frequent.
The Role
You will lead or support delivery of:
Water retaining structures
Bridges
LRT platforms
Transit structures
With a focus on:
Formwork systems
Discuss formwork strategy on all self perform projects
Formwork evaluation and selection
Concrete sequencing and execution
Field-driven constructability
Oversee formwork scope on multiple projects
Train and mentor field foreman and superintendents
Inform division leaders on overall formwork progress and risk profile
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a coordination role.
What Sets This Role Apart
This is not a traditional Superintendent role.
We are specifically looking for someone who:
Has personally been involved in formwork and concrete assembly in the field
Can walk a site and immediately identify sequencing risks
Understands how structures actually go together under real constraints
What You Bring
Proven experience delivering concrete structures (ideal experience would include bridges, transit, or similar)
Deep exposure to formwork systems and concrete sequencing
Background from:
Self-perform general contractor, or
Concrete/formwork subcontractor
Ability to move between:
Field execution
Planning and problem-solving
You likely will not be a fit if:
Your experience is primarily utilities, paving, or linear works
You have managed projects without being close to field execution
Your focus has been strictly planning/scheduling vs. build methodology
