Volunteer: Project & Systems Migration Specialist (Asana → Monday.com)

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
We're a 6-year-old nonprofit in our first year as a 501(c)(3), currently running project management on Asana while our Director of Strategy & Operations builds out a parallel system in Monday.com. We need help cleanly migrating from Asana to Monday.com without losing momentum on active projects mid-transition. This has been difficult to tackle internally given differences between the two platforms' data structures and our team's limited bandwidth for a full systems migration.
By the end of this engagement, we'd like the consultant to deliver: A completed audit of our current Asana setup, identifying what carries over as-is, what needs restructuring, and what can be retired A documented mapping of our Asana workflows to equivalent Monday.com structures Migrated active projects, task lists, and templates into Monday.com, adjusted for the structural differences between Asana's task model and Monday's board/item model A recommendation for the most appropriate, budget-friendly third-party migration tool (e.g., Alto's, Unito.io, Zapier) for our needs A simple onboarding guide our team can use to adopt Monday.com with minimal disruption A summary of any data or context at risk of being lost in the migration, with recommendations for preserving it Success looks like our team fully operating in Monday.com with all active work migrated over, a clear onboarding guide in hand, and nothing lost in the transition, at which point the engagement is complete.
