Job Description Summary
The Military Spouse Employment Partnership is a Department of Defense initiative that connects military spouses with hundreds of vetted, partner employers offering remote, flexible, and transferable career opportunities. Authorized under 10 U.S.C.
1784 (Employment opportunities for military spouses) and overseen by the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (10 U.S.C.
136). MSEP operates as a key component of the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) initiative. Under the Department of Defense's Military Spouse Career Accelerator Pilot the Department of Defense (DoD) funds and pays the stipend for participating military spouses during their 12-week fellowship. MSEP participants are not eligible for compensation from GE Aerospace. The program is open to eligible military spouses stationed both within the United States and overseas.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
The Supplier Account Manager is responsible for overseeing supplier relationships, ensuring part health through order coverage and lead time management. Collaborates with buying and contract performance management functions to drive procurement process forward for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, manages negotiations and commercial deal strategy, and drives daily management of supplier issues. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Responsible for progressing the activities of supplier selection, proposals and quotes, quote analysis, negotiation, business approvals, supply award, and contract authoring
Manage relationships internally and externally to drive PO execution.
Partners with supplier team and procurement operations to ensure compliance requirements for owned sourcing and procurement activities.
Accountable for ensuring supplier order health so that contracts are not running out of quantity and time and are renegotiated in accordance with Sourcing policies and guidelines
Leads analysis of accounts payable discrepancies to drive timely reconciliation
Leads projects related to part procurement, or technical changes on parts requiring supplier engagement and support
Brings forward creative contractual solutions to promote contract performance / total cost of ownership
Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.

Basic Qualifications
You must be the spouse of an active duty, Reserve, or National Guard member serving in the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, or Space Force.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States
You must be "career-ready," meaning you already possess the relevant educational background, professional certifications, or work history necessary for the specific corporate track you want to pursue
You must be able to commit to a full 12-week schedule, which typically requires a Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM commitment (for both in-person and remote roles)
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Sourcing & Buying-Procurement experience)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience – Supply Chain Management and Sourcing experience

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
