Talent Payment Representative

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Talent Payment Representative, reporting to the Director of Client Services, is responsible for delivering exceptional client service while overseeing the end-to-end administration of talent compensation for advertising, media, and production projects. This role partners closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payment processing, compliance with collective bargaining agreements and contractual obligations, and adherence to financial controls. The ideal candidate brings expertise in talent payroll, strong relationship management skills, sound judgment, and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to independently manage priorities, resolve complex issues, and be a team player.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build strong customer relationships while offering clients continuous advice and consultations regarding union contracts and applicable labor laws
Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries, issues, and requests.
Provide clients with accurate and comprehensive estimates. Revise and update estimates as needed
Process session and residual payments due based on the requirements of the applicable collective bargaining agreement
Act as liaison between the client and the talent, crew, unions or agents and advocate client’s position in the event of any disagreements
Develop and maintain relationships with representatives throughout the industry to enhance the resources used to complete the duties and responsibilities
Keep up to date with industry and union rulings, contract expirations and the potential cost implications and other specific matters that concern the client’s business
Seek out various industry organizations, attend meetings and seminars and find other opportunities to continue growth within the organization and support the organization’s growth within the industry
Articulate and describe the services of the organization to prospective clients as inquiries come into the organization
Work with technical and network support staff to maintain secure business operating systems for remote office
Potential occasional travel to complete duties and responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
3 - 5 years of experience in commercial advertising, talent payroll, or talent business affairs
Working knowledge of SAG-AFTRA Commercial Contracts
Strong understanding of talent agreements, usage rights, residual payments, buyout structures, and related compensation models
Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders
Experience using talent payroll systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Proven ability to manage high-volume payment processing while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Familiarity with production budgeting, financial reporting, and payment operations within the advertising, media, or entertainment industries

Compensation at 7Miles Global varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to level of experience, location, role, and skill set. The range of compensation for this role is $75,000 -$85,000 USD. 7Miles Global offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.
