The Role
We're hiring a Principal Consultant to bring deep, hands-on industry expertise directly into client engagements. You'll be embedded alongside client leadership teams: diagnosing what's actually broken, designing the path forward, and staying through execution to make sure it holds up under real volume. You'll work across a range of engagement types: carriers rebuilding their operating model, retailers reworking their networks, supply chain optimization and technology enabled transformation.
What You'll Do
Lead client engagements from diagnostic through implementation: network design, operating model redesign, supply chain processes, or technology-enabled process change, depending on your area of depth
Serve as the senior subject-matter voice in client conversations, including with executive leadership and boards where needed
Translate operational complexity into a clear, sequenced plan and then help the client's team actually execute it
Identify where technology (including applied AI) can remove real manual work, and work with scaleup's technical team to scope and stand it up
Contribute to scaleup's own point of view case studies, frameworks, and thought leadership grounded in real engagement work
What We're Looking For
7+ years of hands-on operating experience in logistics, supply chain, or a closely adjacent industry : carrier operations, network design, 3PL management, retail supply chain, or last-mile/parcel are all strong fits
Experience evaluating or deploying technology in logistics operations; deep technical build skills aren't required, but you should know what good looks like and where AI or automation genuinely helps versus where it's a distraction
Comfortable with a variable, engagement-driven schedule, including periods of travel or on-site work depending on the client
