Role Description The Senior Python Developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power lifeflair.co’s web applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing code, integrating with databases and third-party services, and ensuring code quality through testing and reviews. The role involves collaborating with product and frontend teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, troubleshooting production issues, and improving performance and reliability. This is a part-time, remote role that requires strong self-management, clear documentation, and effective communication in an online environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building and maintaining production web services.
Candidates should possess solid skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming, preferably with extensive experience in Python.
Candidates should possess practical experience working with Databases, including schema design, query optimization, and integration with backend applications.
Candidates should possess a deep understanding of APIs (REST/GraphQL), testing frameworks, version control (Git), and secure coding practices.
Relevant qualifications include experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
Additional beneficial qualifications include prior work in remote teams, strong problem-solving skills, clear written communication, and a track record of mentoring or guiding other developers.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
