2. About the Opportunity:
The Communications Generalist role involves planning and executing proactive and reactive communications to protect and enhance the organization's reputation. This position is central to managing media relations, crisis response, executive communications, and product launch narratives, ensuring effective messaging across channels.
3. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement communications plans for company launches and announcements.
Manage media relations, including responding to inquiries, pitching stories, and coordinating interviews.
Create content such as messaging frameworks, blog posts, social media copy, and web materials.
Prepare spokespeople for media engagements with briefing documents.
Lead rapid-response communications during crises, collaborating with legal, policy, and leadership teams.
4. Requirements:
7+ years of communications experience, with at least 2 years in crypto or fintech.
Proven success in media relations and story placement within crypto and mainstream press.
Strong writing and editing skills capable of translating complex crypto topics for broad audiences.
Experience supporting executive communications, including spokesperson preparation and message development.
Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to enhance workflow efficiency and quality.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Annual base salary range: $140,080 to $164,800 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
Total compensation may include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
