Position Summary:
BBAE is seeking an experienced and highly Product Experience Manager to lead product testing, competitive research, and user-experience analysis. This individual will independently manage the product experience evaluation process, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations to management and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with U.S. equities and major brokerage platforms and can take ownership of projects from initial research through final recommendations. This position focuses on product experience, competitive intelligence, and user research. It does not involve providing investment advice, recommending securities, soliciting customers, executing transactions, or accessing customer accounts or funds.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently own and manage the Company’s product experience testing and evaluation process.
Develop product-testing plans and determine evaluation priorities based on business needs, market trends, and user feedback.
Test existing products, new features, and product updates and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
Identify usability issues, workflow gaps, and product improvement opportunities.
Conduct competitive research on major brokerage platforms, including their features, trading workflows, tools, pricing, and overall user experience.
Evaluate user journeys involving stocks, ETFs, listed options, market data, account navigation, and other investment-platform functions.
Monitor investor behavior, market developments, and emerging brokerage-product trends.
Research relevant online investor communities and summarize common user concerns, preferences, and expectations.
Translate research findings and user feedback into organized product recommendations and priorities.
Prepare reports, product comparisons, presentations, and executive-level summaries.
Present findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, compliance, marketing, and customer-experience teams as needed.
Track identified product issues and recommendations and follow up on implementation progress.
Coordinate external testers, research participants, or contractors when required.
Maintain the confidentiality of all nonpublic Company, product, and user information.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This is currently an individual contributor management position with no direct reports.
Expected to independently lead assigned initiatives and may coordinate external consultants, testers, or research participants.
Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities:
Significant experience investing in or actively following the U.S. securities market.
Strong familiarity with stocks, ETFs, listed options, and retail brokerage products.
Regular experience using at least two major brokerage platforms, such as Robinhood, Interactive Brokers, Webull, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of retail investor behavior, trading workflows, and commonly used brokerage tools.
Strong competitive research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prepare clear reports and communicate recommendations to management.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred, as this role may conduct user interviews and evaluate product experiences for Chinese-speaking customers.
Familiarity with investor communities on Reddit, X, Discord, Telegram, Facebook, or Chinese-language investment forums is preferred.
Prior experience in fintech, brokerage, product research, user research, or digital financial services is preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
Physical Demands:
This position is primarily office-based and requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. The role involves frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and other office technology. Employees may occasionally stand, walk, or move throughout the office to attend meetings or collaborate with team members. Occasional lifting or moving of office materials or equipment of up to 20 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional overtime may be required to meet business or regulatory deadlines.
