Product Experience Consultant

The consultant will provide services under an independent contractor agreement and will not be eligible for employee benefits.
Scope of Services
Test designated products, new features, and product updates and provide clear, practical feedback.
Identify usability issues and recommend improvements to product functionality, workflows, and overall user experience.
Compare the features, trading processes, tools, and user experience of major brokerage platforms.
Evaluate user journeys involving stocks, ETFs, listed options, market data, account navigation, and other investment-platform functions.
Participate in periodic virtual meetings to discuss project findings, product trends, investor behavior, and user needs.
Monitor relevant online investor communities and summarize common user concerns, preferences, and product expectations.
Deliver written feedback, competitive comparisons, research summaries, and actionable product recommendations according to agreed timelines.
Maintain the confidentiality of all nonpublic Company, product, and user information.
Comply with applicable information security and compliance requirements related to the consulting services.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
Significant personal experience investing in or actively following the U.S. securities market.
Strong familiarity with stocks, ETFs, and listed options.
Regular experience using at least two major brokerage platforms, such as Robinhood, Interactive Brokers, Webull, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, or similar platforms.
Ability to evaluate digital products objectively and deliver detailed, actionable recommendations.
Good understanding of retail investor behavior, trading workflows, and commonly used brokerage tools.
Strong analytical, comparative research, and written communication skills.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred, as this role may conduct user interviews and evaluate product experiences for Chinese-speaking customers.
Familiarity with investor communities on Reddit, X, Discord, Telegram, Facebook, or Chinese-language investment forums is preferred.
Ability to manage deliverables independently in a remote consulting environment.
Physical Demands:
This position is primarily office-based and requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. The role involves frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and other office technology. Employees may occasionally stand, walk, or move throughout the office to attend meetings or collaborate with team members. Occasional lifting or moving of office materials or equipment of up to 20 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional overtime may be required to meet business or regulatory deadlines.
