WordPress Developer and IT Support Specialist

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer and IT Support Specialist to work with our organization on a long-term basis.
Our existing website, hosted on Liquid Web, has been infected with malware. We have purchased new hosting with ChemiCloud and want to build a completely fresh WordPress website from scratch. We do not want to migrate or reuse any data from the infected website.
Our immediate priority is to develop a modern, professional, user-friendly website with WooCommerce, attractive product pages, and the functionality required to support our business operations.
Once the website is launched, we are looking for someone who can continue working with us on ongoing website maintenance, development, troubleshooting, and general IT support.
We need someone reliable, proactive, and available to work during Eastern Time (U.S.) business hours.
1. Website Development – Primary Responsibility
The initial project will involve developing and launching our new website on ChemiCloud hosting.
Main Website Requirements
Install and configure WordPress on our new ChemiCloud hosting account.
Select and implement a modern, professional, responsive WordPress theme.
We have an existing subscription to GPL Times, which may provide access to themes and plugins for the project.
Install and configure WooCommerce.
Integrate Stripe for online payments.
Design professional, attractive, and user-friendly product pages.
Create the main website's product categories and subcategories.
Implement functionality for certain categories and products that require additional setup fees when an order is placed.
Ensure the website works properly on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Configure Zoho SalesIQ for website chat.
Configure the necessary security, backups, performance optimization, and website maintenance tools.
Test the complete purchasing process, including product selection, setup fees, checkout, Stripe payments, and order notifications.
Ensure the website is fully functional and ready to go live.
Important: Our existing website is infected with malware. We want a clean installation and a completely new website on ChemiCloud. We do not want to migrate content, databases, plugins, themes, or other data from the infected website.
2. Subsite Development
In addition to the main website, we require two subsites.
Subsite 1 – Printful Integration
Develop a subsite with a design consistent with the main website.
Integrate Printful with WooCommerce.
Configure the necessary product synchronization and order-processing functionality.
Ensure customers can browse products, place orders, and complete purchases.
Test the integration to ensure orders are processed correctly.
Subsite 2 – Separate Brand Store
Develop a separate branded website using WooCommerce.
Configure its own categories, and product pages.
Enable customers to place orders through the website.
Ensure the site maintains the same overall theme and visual identity as the main website while allowing for appropriate brand-specific customization.
Theme consistency is important: All three websites should have a consistent design language, navigation experience, and professional appearance.
3. Ongoing Website Maintenance & IT Support
After the initial website development and launch, the successful candidate will provide ongoing technical support for our organization.
Responsibilities may include:
WordPress and WooCommerce maintenance.
Website troubleshooting, updates, and bug fixes.
Plugin and theme configuration.
Adding or modifying products, categories, and website functionality.
Website security monitoring and backup management.
Troubleshooting payment, checkout, and integration issues.
Assistance with our business software and applications.
General IT troubleshooting and technical assistance.
Helping us implement new tools, applications, and business processes.
Handling occasional unexpected technical tasks as they arise.
We are looking for someone who can become a dependable, long-term technical resource for our organization.

Experience with these applications, particularly Zoho products, WordPress, WooCommerce, and business software integrations, will be highly valuable.
5. Working Hours & Availability
We are looking for a freelancer who can work with us during Eastern Time (U.S.) business hours.
Expected workload:
Regular monthly workload: Approximately 40–50 hours.
Additional unexpected tasks: Allow approximately 10 extra hours per month.
Monthly planning and compensation: Based on a total allocation of 60 hours per month.
We understand that the actual workload may vary from month to month. Some months may require additional hours, while other months may be lighter.
We would therefore like to establish a fixed monthly compensation arrangement rather than paying an hourly rate for every task.
Any additional hours worked beyond the planned monthly allocation should be tracked and agreed upon, with the flexibility to balance the workload across subsequent months.

6. Required Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
Strong experience developing professional WordPress websites.
Excellent knowledge of WooCommerce, including product configuration, variations, categories, checkout, and payment integrations.
Experience selecting and customizing modern WordPress themes.
Experience with Stripe integration.
Experience integrating Printful with WooCommerce.
Knowledge of WordPress security, malware prevention, backups, and performance optimization.
Experience with website hosting, DNS configuration, SSL certificates, and website launches.
Familiarity with Zoho applications and business software integrations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Availability during Eastern Time business hours.

Develop and integrate the two subsites, including Printful integration for the first subsite.
Configure Stripe and thoroughly test the ordering and checkout process.
Provide ongoing website maintenance, development, and IT support.
The initial website development and launch are the most important deliverables.
