Project Manager – Renewable Energy | NYC
We're partnering with a growing clean energy company that is expanding its distributed energy and renewable project portfolio in New York City and is looking to add a Project Manager to the team.
This is a hands-on project ownership role for someone who has actually built projects and wants to be close to the execution. You’ll take ownership of multiple projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and procurement through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
What you’ll be doing
Manage multiple renewable and distributed energy projects across the NYC market, including a growing portfolio of battery storage projects
Own scope, schedule, budget, procurement, risk, and project controls
Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and key project partners
Lead permitting, RFIs, change orders, issue resolution, and construction execution
Interface directly with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Drive projects through commissioning, turnover, and closeout
What we're looking for
5+ years of Project Management experience in renewable energy, construction, energy, infrastructure, or EPC
Proven experience actually delivering construction projects, not just overseeing them from an owner/development perspective
Strong technical background - engineering, electrical, construction, or similar
Experience managing contractors/subcontractors, budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders
Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
Experience with BESS, solar, microgrids, or other distributed energy technologies is a plus

$130K–$170K base + 15% bonus

Up to ~25% travel depending on project needs
