Role Description The Bar Broker role is a full-time remote position responsible for managing bar sale and acquisition transactions from lead generation through closing. Day-to-day tasks include sourcing and qualifying prospective buyers and sellers, conducting preliminary business assessments, and coordinating valuations and financial analyses with internal and external partners. The role involves preparing listings and marketing materials, managing client communications, and guiding all parties through negotiations, documentation, and due diligence. Bar Brokers regularly track market trends, maintain an organized pipeline of opportunities, and use CRM and communication tools to ensure accurate records and timely follow-ups. This position requires consistent virtual collaboration with colleagues and clients, as well as occasional travel for key meetings or site visits when needed.
Qualifications
Experience in business brokerage, real estate, hospitality, or related fields, with a strong understanding of bar or restaurant operations.
Proficiency in financial analysis basics, including reading P&L statements, cash flow, and key performance metrics for bar businesses.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and resolve issues between buyers and sellers.
Comfort with remote work tools (CRM systems, video conferencing, document management platforms) and disciplined time management.
Customer-focused mindset, demonstrating professionalism, confidentiality, and a consultative approach to client relationships.
Organizational skills for managing multiple deals simultaneously, including documentation, timelines, and follow-up actions.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a distributed team and external partners.
Previous sales, account management, or advisory experience is strongly preferred; hospitality industry experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
